‘GGWJ MUSIC FUND’ BRINGS CHINA STUDENTS TO USA

USA, Los Angeles – July 16-20 – The ‘Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry Music Fund’ founded in collaboration with the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation in January 2012, has selected five students to participate in the GRAMMY® Cultural Exchange Program in Los Angeles that will take place July 16 – 21, 2012, incited by the partnership between Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry and The Recording Academy®.

As part of the Cultural Exchange Program, ‘The C.S.C.L.F. – Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry Music Fund Quintet’, that has a focus on traditional classical music literature, will participate in the GRAMMY Foundation’s GRAMMY Camp® Guest Professionals Day where artists and music industry professionals conduct workshops and master classes. Additionally, the exchange students will take part in several community music clinics and performances with alumni from the GRAMMY Camp – Jazz Session program.

On Friday, July 20, 2012 Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry, the GRAMMY Foundation®, The Recording Academy® and China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (C.S.C.L.F.), together with Gucci retail partner Chong Hing Jewelers, will host an exclusive musical performance at the GRAMMY Museum® in Los Angeles to celebrate the students of the GRAMMY® Cultural Exchange Program. The finale performance by ‘The C.S.C.L.F. – Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry Music Fund Quintet’ and the ‘GRAMMY Band’ will be a spirited conclusion to a weeklong program.
